Application
This material is quite thick at applicating temperatures. An oil-jacketed melter-applicator equipped with a pump and wand is needed to apply this product. The melter should also be equipped with an agitator and separate, properly functioning temperature gauges for the oil bath and melting vat. Material may be added as sealant is drawn off. Small amounts of material remaining in the kettle may be reheated.

bulletAir and surface temperatures should be above 40ºF when sealing.
bulletCracks and joints should be free of dirt, dust, moisture and be frost-free. They should be cleaned by wire brushing or compressed air and a heat lance may be used to dry the interfaces.
bulletA minimum 3/8" width is needed for proper installation of this material. A carbide-tipped router or saw should be used to obtain this minimum width.
bulletFill cracks from the bottom up. Recommended procedure for asphalt pavement is to overfill and then wipe with a U-shaped squeegee to form a thin overband (1/8" maximum thickness) 3" to 5" wide. Flush fill in Portland Cement concrete pavement.

Packaging
50 lb. cartons containing two 25 lb. blocks in poly liners.

Precautions
Do not heat material over 400ºF or polymer degradation may occur. Prolonged heating over 6 hours without the addition of fresh material is not recommended.
